The image accompanying the part appears to show a very OEM-looking part. It looks, in fact, identical to my own original cat (which now has a rust hole in it). Nobody else sells anything remotely like this, so I am suspicious of the image.

i see, i understand how you feel, this converter is an aftermarket replacement part, it looks like the OEM one but its not the original thing

Sounds great, except I don't want to be sending stuff hither and yon until the cows come home. All I want is to find a cat as close a possible to my OEM one, pay for it and be done. Are any dimensions available? Perhaps a better picture?

I looked at the image. Plus I opened it in Photoshop to try and get a closer look. It does not look like the image on your online listing. The slots are absent, for instance. The heat shields are welded on, for another. The two are not the same unit

i see, the picture i got is not really that part specific on the database, but that is the closest i got, i apologize for this. if you want to check Acura directly for this i do have their contact

The whole point of me being here is because Acura/Honda has discontinued this part; contacting them would be useless. Were I able to actually hold and study one of the DEC units, I may be persuaded to buy. Have you a bricks-and-mortar presence?

although you can visit our warehouse, but i am not that sure if they will allow you to tour it

Then I'm out of luck, I guess. I can find lots of ill-fitting rubbish in my local area. I was hoping to find something better by looking online. The DEC image was the closest I've come, but I'm still apparently unable to confirm anything online.
